Sexing your plants is easy. Sex characteristics will appear around or a couple weeks prior to the fall equinox or when growing indoor, when you switch the lights to 12 or more hours off. Male plants produce pollen “sacks”. The first three photos show these male sacks.

The second three photos show female plants. These female plants are what produce THC. Unless you want to breed your plants, you want to cull the males <insert feminist slogan>. Female produce “pistils” that in mass create nuggets.

The 7th picture is a “Bird of paradise flower”. Female pistils look like mini bird of paradise flowers and are a great reference point for identifying the sex of your plants.

8th pic is a close up of pistils. 9th pic is general anatomy

When your plants first show signs of sexing, give them a week before cutting down your plants unless you are sure. Sometimes in the early stages of sexual development the pollen sacks can look similar to female pistils. There is no risk of pollination until the male sacks are fully mature and bust open after at least 2-3 weeks of development.
